Creating Free Blog in "Blogger.com"

There is a lot of free blogs on the web that you can choose. But the one in blogger.com is a bit different. It allows you to paste your own Adsense ads here and make money from it. Why don't we take a ride and open a free blog account in blogger.com?

The application is very simple and consists of three steps:

1. Choose a blog name you like:

You can choose a nice sub-domain for your blog. Just pick up one name that best describe your site. Also, it should be easily memorable to visitors. Apart from that, if you have your own domain or subdomain, you can also use your own domain to replace the one in blogger.com. In my case, I choose www.dagsensecodes.com as my blog URL. In the new version of blogger, you may even apply a new domain name and then host this domain at Google server at dns.google.com. In this way, you can have an unique domain name like mine, and no need to apply for a web hosting service which is a bit expensive.

2. Provide your personal information

This step is also easy. Similar to other online services you apply, just prvoide blogger.com your name, email address etc. All the information are kept confidential, and no need to worry about the junk mails that may send to your email address.

3. Pick up a template

Among a series of templates, just choose the one you love. Pick a wrong one? No worry, you can change this template whenever you want. Apart from those free templates provided in blogger.com, you can also find other blogger templates in other websites. You may even pick up a three-column template like mine. If you are a HTML savvy, you can also make your own unique template.

Hello,
Your blog is great. I'm new to blogging and I am learning a lot from your site. May I just ask, can I get a domain name from a provider like godaddy then host it at dns.google.com? Is this easy to do? I hope you don't mind but where in particular can I get a three column template like yours?

Thanks and have a nice day!

Hi Lory,

Thanks for your comment. Yes, you can get a domain name and host if at blogger for free. I have several blogs that are doing the same thing. There is now a sale for .info domain for only $0.99 in GoDaddy. It's really cheap.

You can easily search with the pharse "blogger three column template", and I am sure can get lots of results.

Feel free to ask me if you have any problem. Please also put a backlink to my site.

Hello again,

Thanks for your response. How do I put a backlink to your site? By indicating my blogs url like the ones below, are these backlinks already, or do I have to do something else?

Thanks for your reply. To put a backlink, you need to put a 'clickable' link, that will direct visitors to a certain site once clicked on it.

Please tell me if you have problem with it.

Hi there! I found your site in digital point where I just signed up today as a new member. I will definitely be visiting your site a lot since I am interested in google adsense. I am currently involved in freebie trading.

I have a question about your post here. You said I can use my registered domain name in blogger. How can I do that? I tried registering in blogger but I don't see that option.

Hi Malen,

Nice to meet you so much.

In your Blogger account, you should click the "setting" tab, and then the "publishing" page. On top of the page, you can find the "custom domain" option, where you can specify a custom domain for your blog.

Please put a backlink to my site, and subscribe for my blog for updated news.

hi Joe!,
your blog is great. Can you tell me how to create blog like a web site with many inter-linked pages( like your's).I suppose you you have created many blogs and linked them, because blogger does not support 'pages' like worldpress.

Hi Amir,

Blogger can also do that. All you need to do is to have hyperlinks on different posts (you need to do it manually).

Please let me know if you still have questions. Please also provide a backlink to my blog as well.
