How to Copy and Paste the Adsense Code into your site

After getting approval from Google, here's come to your first step to earn money from it. What should one do in order to display Adsense ads on his/her sites? It is quite simple and straightforward. Adsense Ads are solely HTML code, just link those that make up a website. So, with the use of a simple HTML editor, you can easily paste such HMTL code into any place you want in your website.

First, you need to get the HMTL code for a specific product. There are various products from adsense. And I will not put too much emphasis here on that. After selecting the desired product, just pick up and copy the HTML code in the box at the bottom of the page.

Afterwards, you can use any simple HTML editors (e.g. Frontpage, Dreamweaver etc.) and paste the code to your desire position. According to Google, Once you've generated your ad code by visiting the AdSense Setup tab and following the steps to choose an ad type, format, and colors, you'll need to add the code to your web pages. In the final step of the setup, you'll see your code in the Your AdSense Code box. This is the code that you will cut-and-paste directly into your web pages.

Because every HTML editor is different, and because only you know how you like to build your web pages, we can't give exact instructions on copying the ad code into your pages. We can, however, give you a few tips:

- Make sure to paste the ad code into your source without making any changes to the code. This is important, as changing the code in any way can cause errors on your page (and is against the AdSense program policies)
- Copy the ad code between the body tags of your HTML
- If you're using a WYSIWYG editor (such as FrontPage or Dreamweaver) it's a good idea to paste the code into the Code or Source view. Pasting it into the layout view will often result in HTML tags being added to your code, and will result in errors
- If your page uses Frames, make sure that the code is pasted into the frame that contains your page's main content. We use this content to target ads

When you're all done, save your web pages and upload them to your server. If you have questions about uploading files to your server, we suggest contacting your web hosting company directly.
After pasting the code in your site, the ads will be shown immediately, no matter it is relevant ads, irrelevant one or the PSA (public service advertisement). Initially, the ads that you see may be Public Service Ads and won't be targeted to your page. We have to crawl your page's content before we know what kinds of ads to send your way - this can take up to a few hours, but usually occurs within minutes. Once our crawler has visited your page, you should see ads that are highly targeted to your content.

This is not so much as a comment but more like a desperate plea for help with pasting the code. I have done all the relevant asks and after three days of trying managed to paste my code into the body of HTML of my blog but nothing has happened and I have no ads on my blog. Is there anyone out there who can help. I am no geek and finding this all very confusing.
With thanks

Well, it is quite easy for you to paste your Adsense HTML code into the template of your blog. I suppose you know how to acquire your adsnese HTML code from your account.

The second thing that you need to do is to login your blogger account, click on your "Template" tab. Paste your HTML code whereever you like.

Then save it, and publish the entire blog. You can then probably see those ads in the respective positions inside your blog.

All these procedures are fairly simple and straightforward.

mukeshjadav,

Thank you very much for leaving a comment and a question here. If you are using blogger.com, there is no need to use Frontpage first to edit the HTML code together with the Adsense code.

All you need is to choose the template tab in the blogger account, paste your adsense HTML code into the valid region (that is the body region). Of course, the position you are going to display adsnese ads should be desirable and attracts attention from visitors.

Tell me if you have any problems.

P.S. hope can also subscribe my blog and put a link to us in your site.

You should choose the "template" tab of your blogger account. Then you will see your HTML of your site. Place your adsense code into it in the BODY section (not the HEAD section.

Tell me if you still have problems.

To implement the AdSense code, I followed the following steps
After Clicking on AdSense Setup
I clicked in AdSense for Content
For text and image ad, I use default
I used leaderboard for format and google palette as default and continued
The channel I choosed was “HomeRightSkyscpMotherEarth” and continued
Then I copied the AdSense code and return to edit page
Clicked on Template tab
Found "body" and pasted the code
Saved the teplalate changes
And then published
But what appeared was public service one
Even before that it was public service ads
I don’t know where I went wrong. May I have some help please

The occurence of the PSA is due to the the procedural errors. It is more likely that your content is not enough or your site is not optimized with keywords. You need to repeatedly use the keywords that you want to use in order to increase the leyword denity. By this way, Google will have a much higher chance to crawl for the correct keyword and display targeted ads.

You may also want to implement Section Targeting to guide Google's bot to crawl the correct section of HTML in order to display targeted ads. Please refer to the relevant post in my site at:
http://www.dagsensecode.com/2006/11/impleneting-section-targeting-to-get.html

Anne,

First, login your blogger account and select the corresponding blog you want to display ads. Then, choose "template", and you will see a page of HTML, right? Then, insert your skyscraper adsense code into the HTML into any place you like.

After publishing it, you will then see a skyscaper ad showing on the left.

I have one blog approved by google adsense and ads are displayed. I have prepared another blog with about five postings on another subject(Education in India). Do I have to submit this blog also to google for their approval in the same way as I submitted the earlier blog?

Secondly, I want to ask how many ads google displays on a blog maximum. On some other blogs, I have seen 8-10 or more ads being displayed. These are on the top, sides and bottom of the blog. But in my case, it is only 3-4 ads on the top. Can I get more ads from google.

At 09 July, 2007 22:49, Blogger Adsense Decoder said...

Hi vinod,

No, you need not to submit that new site. All you need to do is simply add the adsense code into the new sites, and Google will automatically detect it and deliver relevant ads.

Within a webpage, you are allowed to put 3 Adsense for Content units, 2 Adsense for Search boxes, 3 link units, and 2 referral links for each product. In simple calculation, if you implement all of them, the total number exceeds 10.

Hi! This is such an old entry but I hope you still check this out. You're doing everything I want when it comes to pasting google ads (i.e. upper left corner of every post, a line before the beginning of the comments, a square after the entire comment block). I've been trying to do the same but with no luck! Whenever I paste adsense as part of my posts or comments, it either disappears or displays in a different format from what i selected in adsense! But whenever I the same codes inside a widget, they work fine! What am I doing wrong? what step am i missing? i am using the new blogger

Hi me in 30,

No worry, I will check the comments in all the posts, and try my best to answer your question.

The pasting of the code applies to all locations of your blog. It well depends on whether you have pasted the code in a right location of HTML. I have a post specifically explaining on how to insert the ads in post.

Please feel free to ask, if you still have questions. Please also put a backlink to my blog as well.

first, I want to clarify your question. Do you mean showing ads under each topic of a post? You can do so without the use of a HTML editor. First, you need to open the template of your blog in blogger.com. Then, find the relevant header tag and insert the code underneath.

Hope that helps, and look forward your link.

Hi chip,

It doesn't matter for where do you get the domain registered. You then need to find a web-hosting company, and then create a webpage and host it there. Then, follow the advice I provide in this post.javascript:void(0)

Hi CheriP,

Can you access the Server where you can upload and download the webpage from weebly? You must have such right for pasting Adsense code, and displaying Adsense ads.

I am using weebly and my website is manojonline.weebly.com. Can anyone please let me know how to paste adsense code to my website. I have read that we cannot paste the code directly to weebly.... thanx manoj

Hi manoj,

As you mentioned, you cannot paste the code directly to your website in weebly, then there is no way you can do to display adsense ads. Seriously, you should switching to other paid hosting or free blogging service like Blogger.

This may work on weebly.
