How to Copy and Paste the Adsense Code into your site
After getting approval from Google, here's come to your first step to earn money from it. What should one do in order to display Adsense ads on his/her sites? It is quite simple and straightforward. Adsense Ads are solely HTML code, just link those that make up a website. So, with the use of a simple HTML editor, you can easily paste such HMTL code into any place you want in your website.
First, you need to get the HMTL code for a specific product. There are various products from adsense. And I will not put too much emphasis here on that. After selecting the desired product, just pick up and copy the HTML code in the box at the bottom of the page.
Afterwards, you can use any simple HTML editors (e.g. Frontpage, Dreamweaver etc.) and paste the code to your desire position. According to Google, Once you've generated your ad code by visiting the AdSense Setup tab and following the steps to choose an ad type, format, and colors, you'll need to add the code to your web pages. In the final step of the setup, you'll see your code in the Your AdSense Code box. This is the code that you will cut-and-paste directly into your web pages.
Because every HTML editor is different, and because only you know how you like to build your web pages, we can't give exact instructions on copying the ad code into your pages. We can, however, give you a few tips:
- Make sure to paste the ad code into your source without making any changes to the code. This is important, as changing the code in any way can cause errors on your page (and is against the AdSense program policies)
- Copy the ad code between the body tags of your HTML
- If you're using a WYSIWYG editor (such as FrontPage or Dreamweaver) it's a good idea to paste the code into the Code or Source view. Pasting it into the layout view will often result in HTML tags being added to your code, and will result in errors
- If your page uses Frames, make sure that the code is pasted into the frame that contains your page's main content. We use this content to target ads
When you're all done, save your web pages and upload them to your server. If you have questions about uploading files to your server, we suggest contacting your web hosting company directly.

After pasting the code in your site, the ads will be shown immediately, no matter it is relevant ads, irrelevant one or the PSA (public service advertisement). Initially, the ads that you see may be Public Service Ads and won't be targeted to your page. We have to crawl your page's content before we know what kinds of ads to send your way - this can take up to a few hours, but usually occurs within minutes. Once our crawler has visited your page, you should see ads that are highly targeted to your content.

This is not so much as a comment but more like a desperate plea for help with pasting the code. I have done all the relevant asks and after three days of trying managed to paste my code into the body of HTML of my blog but nothing has happened and I have no ads on my blog. Is there anyone out there who can help. I am no geek and finding this all very confusing.
With thanks
Vicky
Well, it is quite easy for you to paste your Adsense HTML code into the template of your blog. I suppose you know how to acquire your adsnese HTML code from your account.
The second thing that you need to do is to login your blogger account, click on your "Template" tab. Paste your HTML code whereever you like.
Then save it, and publish the entire blog. You can then probably see those ads in the respective positions inside your blog.
All these procedures are fairly simple and straightforward.
the google ads in my site are still public service ones after a few days. why?
my google ads are still publec service ones. Why
So in this case, you need to email Google and tell them your situation.
They are glad to hear any problem you are having~
i have problem with publish my blog. i m using frontpage. first copy sour from www.mukeshjadav.blogspot.com in front page html. than i past adsense code. after paste this code i go to file and publish web my blog. than prompt for web destination.
what is destination ?
i give destination as a www.blogger.com than promp for username and password.
so pls guide me properly how i upload my bloge.
mukeshjadav,
Thank you very much for leaving a comment and a question here. If you are using blogger.com, there is no need to use Frontpage first to edit the HTML code together with the Adsense code.
All you need is to choose the template tab in the blogger account, paste your adsense HTML code into the valid region (that is the body region). Of course, the position you are going to display adsnese ads should be desirable and attracts attention from visitors.
Tell me if you have any problems.
P.S. hope can also subscribe my blog and put a link to us in your site.
Where in the templates I should paste the codes please indicate exactly. In blog
for your kind information in template tab there is nothing but to arrange the things where in the hell we can paste the code
You should choose the "template" tab of your blogger account. Then you will see your HTML of your site. Place your adsense code into it in the BODY section (not the HEAD section.
Tell me if you still have problems.
To implement the AdSense code, I followed the following steps
After Clicking on AdSense Setup
I clicked in AdSense for Content
For text and image ad, I use default
I used leaderboard for format and google palette as default and continued
The channel I choosed was “HomeRightSkyscpMotherEarth” and continued
Then I copied the AdSense code and return to edit page
Clicked on Template tab
Found "body" and pasted the code
Saved the teplalate changes
And then published
But what appeared was public service one
Even before that it was public service ads
I don’t know where I went wrong. May I have some help please

The occurence of the PSA is due to the the procedural errors. It is more likely that your content is not enough or your site is not optimized with keywords. You need to repeatedly use the keywords that you want to use in order to increase the leyword denity. By this way, Google will have a much higher chance to crawl for the correct keyword and display targeted ads.
You may also want to implement Section Targeting to guide Google's bot to crawl the correct section of HTML in order to display targeted ads. Please refer to the relevant post in my site at:

I think it is more like a question of blogger. Well, from your question, I think it is due to the wrong setting of your blogger about your server, or your server may not work properöy. Check the blogger help for more tips on the server setting.

I am not figuring out how to place my adsense code on my blogger blog.
I want a skyscraper on the left. But blogger dosent have that option. Can I do it with a little HTML??
http://babygiftsideas.blogspot.com/
Please help.
Thank you
Anne,
First, login your blogger account and select the corresponding blog you want to display ads. Then, choose "template", and you will see a page of HTML, right? Then, insert your skyscraper adsense code into the HTML into any place you like.
After publishing it, you will then see a skyscaper ad showing on the left.

Thanks in advance for your reply and help. Best regards.
I have problem getting adsense on my wordpress blog. Any body faces similar problem ?
What kind of problem are you facing? Although I am not a user of Wordpress, I will try my best to answer you.
Hello,
I have been trying for five weeks to put adsensesearch and adsense referral on my blogsite.neferiti-palmtree.logspot.com
I have copied the code, put it in the HTML of my blog, saved it, but there is no where to publish,so of course nothing has happened.
Can anyone help. I have received lots of information and have tried to follow them all, but again without success.
One very basic question first:
Are you using blogspot? Because the url provided is not blogspot, but logspot. Want to make it clear before proceed.
On my blogger blog, I copied and pasted the adsense code onto the box in the template ssection, and saved now how do I publish after that, exactly?there used to be a"republish entire blog"option, but I cant find it.Please help!I just may be an idiot!
Are you using new version of blogger? If you are using it, once you saved the template, it will automatically upload for you. You should then see your ads.
You can find the button ""Republish entire blog", after you have created a new post. Please tell me if you cannot find it.

After I login to my blogger account, I click on Template tab and find "body" of HTML page. I copy and paste the Adsense code between the "body" and "/body" tags. Then I choose Preview to confirm that the Adsense code has been pasted correctly. But I can not see the Ads appear in my blog. Please tell me how to paste the Adsense code into my blog???
I checked your site, the ads are fine!!
Did you see the ads in my blog??? But last login, I couldn't see the ads in anywhere of my blog!
Hi ngmkhoa,
But not this time. I checked the HTML source of your blog, and there is no Gsense code there! Go and copy your Gsense Code, and then paste it into your blog as the procedures I mentioned in this post.
Your procedures were fine, and there was ad there in your blog!
Please put a backlink in your blog in order to help more Gsense newbies.

kiran
Hi kiran,
No. There is no such service. Maybe it is a service provided by somebody else. I can also help you setting up a site and have adsense ads implemented.
Hi, are u able to use adsense google adds on sites like Hi5;Yahoo360;Tagworld etc
Hi raquel,
If the page, no matter it is Hi5, yahoo or Tagworld, do have its own default ads which RESEMBLE google ads, then you are not allowed to display google ads. The point is you cannot display google ads with other ads that intend to mimic Google ads.

I have two questions here they are related with blogger.com ?
I hope you will give me some time to answer my questions .
1. I want to blend ad sense ads with content But Blogger does not support javascript to post with my content ?
I want to add ads like yours with content . How to do this with Blogger.com ?
2.Last Post appears in first . I want publish the first post at beginning . But I am not able to do this . Please can you help me how to do this ?
Hi,
1. You cannot implement the Adsense sense directly into the posts. You can implement them to the sidebars or elsewhere, and you can still blend your ads with no problem.
2. What do you mean by cannot publish the first post? Please clarify more on that.
Please also put a backlink to my site.
Thanks for your answer . I mean to say that latest post appears in first position . I don't want so . I want the oldest post should appear first position how can I do so . Please can you help me ?
Hi,
I now understand your question. Unfortunately, you cannot change the order, and the latest post will always show on top in your blog.
Hi all
I am using a web builder from WebCity and when I paste the adsense code into my source, it pastes all funny!!
I try to fix it manually but I cant get it to display my chosen add box on my site!!
Any help would be great!!!
Hi Eric,
First of all, can you see the HTML source of your webpage?
Hi,
I'm using Adobe Dreamweaver CS3, and I'm having some trouble getting the ads to appear on my site...
I copied and pasted the Google-generated code into my source, making sure that no extraneous HTML was added, and then I used the preview feature to look at the ads.
But there was nothing...no PSA, no irrelavant ads, just no ads whatsoever! Google Adsense search seems to be working fine, but Adsense content refuses to show up.
I have tried numerous times, but don't seem to be having much success...advise please!

I have one blog approved by google adsense and ads are displayed. I have prepared another blog with about five postings on another subject(Education in India). Do I have to submit this blog also to google for their approval in the same way as I submitted the earlier blog?
Secondly, I want to ask how many ads google displays on a blog maximum. On some other blogs, I have seen 8-10 or more ads being displayed. These are on the top, sides and bottom of the blog. But in my case, it is only 3-4 ads on the top. Can I get more ads from google.
Hi vinod,
No, you need not to submit that new site. All you need to do is simply add the adsense code into the new sites, and Google will automatically detect it and deliver relevant ads.
Within a webpage, you are allowed to put 3 Adsense for Content units, 2 Adsense for Search boxes, 3 link units, and 2 referral links for each product. In simple calculation, if you implement all of them, the total number exceeds 10.

Hi! This is such an old entry but I hope you still check this out. You're doing everything I want when it comes to pasting google ads (i.e. upper left corner of every post, a line before the beginning of the comments, a square after the entire comment block). I've been trying to do the same but with no luck! Whenever I paste adsense as part of my posts or comments, it either disappears or displays in a different format from what i selected in adsense! But whenever I the same codes inside a widget, they work fine! What am I doing wrong? what step am i missing? i am using the new blogger
Hi me in 30,
No worry, I will check the comments in all the posts, and try my best to answer your question.
The pasting of the code applies to all locations of your blog. It well depends on whether you have pasted the code in a right location of HTML. I have a post specifically explaining on how to insert the ads in post.
Please feel free to ask, if you still have questions. Please also put a backlink to my blog as well.
Hi this is Nilesh here.
I have created a account on adsense.
Have created a blog or a web page through www.googlepages.com, my web address is http://nileshmeh.googlepages.com/iclandbcci
Two things i want to know is........how does the page look.in the sense is it ok or it can be improved, secondly i want to paste the Adsense html code, it says that there is a template tab but i can't find it....can you please help me out on this. Thanks
Hi Nilesh,
For the site, I think you have more text content, as well as more graphics, in order to attract the visitors to come and make your site looks more professional.
For the template question, there is no template tab in googlepage. It only applies to blogger blogs.
Please put a backlink to my site for support.
hi.
iam a frequent visiter to your blog awsome blog u made yaar my question is how to make the adds visible below the title of each content without using any HTML editor please mail me at rajucrazyboy@yahoo.com and ill soon place ur bog in my favourate sites thnaking u
Hi Raju,
Thanks for your comment.
first, I want to clarify your question. Do you mean showing ads under each topic of a post? You can do so without the use of a HTML editor. First, you need to open the template of your blog in blogger.com. Then, find the relevant header tag and insert the code underneath.
Hope that helps, and look forward your link.
I created a blog in blogger.com. When i try to place adds inside the posts, they are not displayed. Is blogger disable scripts inside posts? What is the solution for this problem.

My blog: http://onepuzzleaday.blogspot.com

Hi Suman,
Yes, they have disabled the Javascript inside the posts. In order to insert the Adsense ads in the post, you should read my post on how to wrap the ads with text.
Hope this helps, and please provide a back link to my blog.
I clicked on Template tab.
There is something already there in the body(i.e. the part on page below which 3 options :Clear Edits,Preview,Save Template are there.
Should I still paste my code in that box?
Hi
I post the adsense code onto the blog box you specified. The ads have not displayed yet on my blog. Now I am confused whether I did it correctly. Could you please let me know how do I know this? If I didnot correctly, what should I do? My blog is: begnastal.blogsopt.com
Hi arjunsusmita,
I checked your site, the ads are there. I can see a leaderboard on top, and a wide skyscraper on the right.
Can't you see the ads yourself? Anyway, no worry, the ads are there.
Please put a backlink to my site so as to help more newbies.
thanks for your reply.Till now i am unable to see the add on my blogis there anyway so that i can see add advertise on my blog?
Hi,
Iam a newbie please help me paste my adsense code into my blog. I have placed the code into 'BODY' of my html. Used leaderboard, Homerightskyscpmotherearth. No publish options only save templates. Still no change in my blog. Could you please check my blog and let me know where i went wrong. My blog is
http://riyasathads.blogspot.com/
Hi Riyasathads,
There is no Adsense code in your blogger template. Since you are using the hosting service from blogger, you do not have the "publish" button. Once you save the template, it will automatically publish.
Try to paste the Adsense code again, and reach me if you have any problems.
Hi,
I somehow solved my problems like i have managed to place adsense codes into my blog. Even traced out where to place skyscp to get on right side. But the problem is once i got that on my right, the leaderboard at the bottom of my blog disappeared why? Could you please check and tell me.
My blog riyasathads.blogspot.com
Hi, I am glad that you finally manage to fix the problem.
I checked your site, and there are already three Adsense for Content units, and the skyscraper on the right is the last one. As Google will only display the first three Adsense codes whilst ignore the rest, the Adsense code for the leaderboard at the bottom will not be displayed.
Please put a back link to my site so as to help more Adsense newbies.
Thank you for your help. Sure i would like to put a backlink, but dont think iam silly and dont forgot iam a complete newbie just tell me how to do that. And one more question how to get my google search show both option web and sitesearch simultaneously. Thank you.
Hi Riya,
You are welcome. For more information on how to put a back link to my blog, please click here.
For the Adsense for Search questions, you can choose the sitesearch in the "Adsense Setup" tab inside your Adsense account. You can easily figure it out.
Hope it helps.

Hi anonymous,
1. Simply copy the adsense code from your Adsense account, and then paste the code into the HTML.
2. MS Frontage is already a kind of HTML editors. Go ahead.
It would be better if you can provide your site's URL.
Hi jem,
No, I can see the ads in your blog, and that means your blog has been approved.
I have a real problem here.I register adsense and accidentally chose 'Indonesian' in website language. Now Adsense does not support website content in Indonesian (the fact is my website is in english!)..So what should I do now?
Hi Irvan,
Send an email to Adsense Support, and request them to change for you.
This is my blog
http://animania4u.blogspot.com/
1)I got the adsense code.copied it.
2)Went to 'view' of my page
3)clicked source
4)pasted the code just before the bottom body.
5)clicked on to save when prompted.
After this nothing happened.
1)no ads
2)when I viewed the source again, the adsense code had disappeared even though I had saved it.
3)everyone talks about uploading the code to the server and also publishing it.I have no idea what this is or how this is to be done.
Can you help me so that I can see ads in my blog. I've tried and tried but am not successful.
Thanks in advance.
Hi animaniac,
You should insert the Adsense code directly into the HTML file saved on the server, rather than the source only.
Sorry for my belated reply.
I cannot get the adsense posted into my free weebly website. I know you gave some instruction - but I am totally confused. I don't think I am an idiot - just computer challenged! Please give me step by step instructions on how to paste the adsense code onto the weebly website. Every time I do it it just disappears! I will be eternally grateful!
Hi cherip,
Please show me your free weebly website URL, in order to check whether the Adsense code has been implemented or not.
www.pspblender.com
tell me how to paste adsense code in it.
Hi vanita,
Which part of pasting code that you have problem with?
Jo Li - CheriP says thank you for your interest in helping me paste my adsense code into my free weebly site http://thetannery.weebly.com Please advise asap

Hi cherip,
I am glad that you finally manage to put the Adsense code there. Please put a back link to my blog if you want o have further advice for your site.
Hi chip,
It doesn't matter for where do you get the domain registered. You then need to find a web-hosting company, and then create a webpage and host it there. Then, follow the advice I provide in this post.javascript:void(0)
Publish Your Comment
Isn't Adwords the host???? That is where I found Adsense.
Jo Li - I'm sorry you misunderstood my post from yesterday - I still do NOT have this code pasted to my website - PLEASE HELP - it is for my free weebly website http://thetannery.weebly.com
CheriP
Hi Chip,
Adwords is not the host. Anyway, pleas tell me the exact problem you have encountered during the Adsense code pasting.
Hi CheriP,
Can you access the Server where you can upload and download the webpage from weebly? You must have such right for pasting Adsense code, and displaying Adsense ads.
I am using weebly and my website is manojonline.weebly.com. Can anyone please let me know how to paste adsense code to my website. I have read that we cannot paste the code directly to weebly.... thanx manoj
Hi manoj,
As you mentioned, you cannot paste the code directly to your website in weebly, then there is no way you can do to display adsense ads. Seriously, you should switching to other paid hosting or free blogging service like Blogger.
I just found this widget at Widgetbox : http://www.widgetbox.com/widget/googleadsense
This may work on weebly.
Hi panther,
