Make Your Site More Dynamic - use Video Ads

Just like a normal image ad, video ads can also be paid on CPC and CPM basis. When paid on a CPC basis, you'll receive earnings for each valid clickthrough on ad. When paid on a CPM basis, you'll be paid for impressions of the opening image, rather than plays of the video. That mean even whent the video ad does not start playing, it is still counted as a valid ad impression for the opening of the video ad.
You may wonder there is no specific option for you to choose video ad. No worry. Video ads also belong to image ads category. You need to choose, in your Adsense Account, one of the three supported video ad formats on your site and that you are opted in to image ads for that specific ad unit. The four supporting video ad formats are:
1. Medium Rectangle (300 X 250)
2. Large Rectangle (336 X 280)
3. Square (250 X 250)
4. Small Square (200 X 200)
What about those publishers that do not want to display video ads but only image ads? You can have the option to disable the displaying of video ads. If you'd prefer not to display video ads on your site, there are two options available to you: 1.you can use your Competitive Ad Filter to block video ads from an individual advertiser. 2.You can opt out of image ads for the three ad formats that support video ads: Medium Rectangle, Large Rectangle, and Square.
Bear in mind that, similar to image ads, video ads may not be always shown. Only when the advertiser of the video ad gives a higher bidding, Google will then automatically display the video ad in your site. That mean you will not earn more with video ads. The only benefits you can get from video ads is make your site layout more attractive.
